Republicans have lead over Democrats in sex scandals

After reviewing 58 sex scandals over the past two decades involving politicians or major candidates for federal, state and local office, The Daily Beast has determined that Republicans have had more embarrassing escapades than Democrats. But what Democrats lack in quantity they make up for in the quality of their sexual dalliances.

The Daily Beast gives the GOP the overall numerical edge, 32-26. Democrats, however, have had more jaw-dropping scandals.

[...]Republicans led 6-1 in the Prostitution category, 16-9 in Hypocrisy and 5-2 in Coverup. Democrats, on the other hand, took Staffer Abuse 16-5 and Sexual Harassment 8-2. The two parties may differ when it comes to policy, but there is one subject where they are perfectly in tune: Adultery. The Daily Beast score: Democrats-18; Republicans-18.
